The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 is the second generation wristband from the Chinese brand and after the huge success of the first generation, the new model is one of the best entry-level fitness trackers in the sub-$50 price range. It can easily track your daily activity and sleep, it can also send you silent notifications (vibrations) of your smartphone activities and even wake you up with the same and very handy silent alarm, using just vibrations if you are not the type of loud and annoying alarm sounds type.
The Xiaomi Mi Band 2 also looks really nice and the new OLED display makes it easier than before to read the display. The incorporated Heart Rate monitor has some glitches comparing to other more expensive devices but still does the job. Finally, it has great battery life that -officially- Xiaomi declares as 20 days but in my opinion will last for about 15 to 18 days in real life use. Not bad at all.
The device isn’t using GPS, so the most privacy cautious people can stay calm. It uses a pedometer, accelerometer and optical heart rate monitor. The Mi Band 2 is also waterproof, resistant to dust and corrosion so you can keep it attached when showering, even when swimming!

It supports Dual SIM or always on the same tray you can place one SIM and one SD Card up to 256GB, the choice is yours! It is a 100% unlocked phone, working on all major networks: 3G / 4G / LTE. The Sharp display is “only” Full HD but it is also one of the best I’ve seen. And honestly, if I didn’t know it was “just” 1080p I wouldn’t have noticed! The only negative in my opinion of this phone is the camera: the front face camera at 5MP is just ok and the Panasonic 16MP isn’t what you would expect from a high-end phone like this. The photos seem a little dark for a flagship camera. For the rest, the performance of the phone is phenomenal: the apps open very fast, gaming is absolute pleasure with no issues at all and multitasking thanks to the 4GB of RAM is spectacular.
