TVZion Has Been Shut Down

TVZion app has been shut down by the developer and the application is no longer working. Also if you visit the official website for the streaming application you will ve redirected to a Pastebin post. In the post the developer of the TVZion application with a brief message sents his goodbye to his community. The link to the Pastebin post can be found here: https://pastebin.com/raw/eCRtjyum

Hi everyone.

Looking at the recent events, to protect the moderators, I have decided to shut down the app.

ZC members, thank you for your continued support all this time and I am truly sorry if I have let you down.

But we need to protect the moderators that have provided this community so much support selflessly for absolutely nothing in return and at least as the developer it is now my duty to return the favor and ensure their well being.

It has been such a pleasure to have you all as a community but it is time for me say good bye.

What has happened

Following the recent news that several moderators of the team behind TVZion app have been reportedly served with cease-and-desist notices by the global anti-piracy coalition Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), the developer has now decided to terminate the application. Just a few days ago, the same developer insisted that he was unaware of all that had happened to the moderators of the application and that TVZion was gonna continue as normal. But looking back, it all seems that this was not the truth.

The cease-and-desist notice that the moderators received stated that “Within ten (10) days of the Effective Date [REDACTED] shall transfer the domains Zionapp.live, Tvzion.me, Tvzionapk.com, and Tvzion.io, and all trademarks related to the Infringing Service, to the Rightsholders at no cost, and shall execute whatever documents and take whatever actions are necessary to effect the transfer”. And guess what, it has been exactly 10 days and the app is no longer working as well as the official website has been also taken down.

TVZion has been shut down

Taking it a step further

TVZion was one of the best alternatives of Terrarium app that was also shut down in the past. But the developer of TVZion has taken a step further creating a paid subscription called “TVZion Club” offering better streaming experience and unlimited access to practically …everything. That didn’t pass unnoticed by the big studios and the rest is now history.

For someone that is a member of this community this is no news. Streaming apps come and go and as always, for one app that is taken down, more follow.

What TVZion shut down means for a user

From a user prespective there is no reason to be worried. Usually in these cases no users are prosecuted. And in being honest, there must be millions of users just for this app. That practically makes it impossible for anyone to prosecute a simple user. But as always with third party applications and streaming applications we always suggest that users use a VPN in order to protect themselves. You should always protect your online identity, especially when you decide to stream certain content. And my personal suggestion is to never pay for such applications. You should never give your information by paying for a grey area service.

For more developments about TVZion and streaming applications in general we will continue to inform with newer posts.

While the war on IPTV still holds, a new development came out just today. One of the most upcoming vloggers, OMI In A Hellcat, previously known as Target In 1080p just released a video sharing with his audience that he got raided by the FBI. OMI whose real name is Omar, in previous videos has repeatedly stated that he had a $50.000.000 fortune. In his new channel on YouTube he is vlogging his daily activities, mostly buying crazy-expensive stuff for himself, family and friends. This extravagant lifestyle is most probably what made the authorities, the FBI in the specifics, take a closer look at his possessions. In the video which got pretty viral already Omar states that the FBI seized everything: houses, SD Cards, cars, bikes, computers, jewelry, phones, drones. And in the million dollar question “what happened with the FBI?” he goes “It was pretty much IPTV and taxes and shit and hiring the wrong CPA [accountant]. This is really important for you guys, make sure your taxes are paid for” he says. The “taxes and shit” seems to be a reference to pending tax evasion and money laundering charges following a three-year IRS investigation. According to him he didn’t paid taxes for more than two years.

Also in the same video he starts talking about his KODI related activities and most importantly about his IPTV experience. He claims that he has found a loophole by which he could create his IPTV company and restream cable as IPTV. I for first am shocked by the details he gave and confessed on camera. I think that whatever the case is, he should have consulted a lawyer and keep the rest for himself. As he should have done before with his high-end lifestyle. In previous videos he shared that he had long left the IPTV / streaming world but this last video seems to suggest otherwise.

If anything, from what he shared looks like he is still connected to the “grey” area of IPTV companies. And truth be told Gears TV and Reloaded TV, two of the IPTV brands he previously represented are both down as of yesterday. The message you will get when trying to access them is “Down For Maintenance” but by the shocking words of OMI we hear that everything is down and he will take the fall for all the people that are working with him. He also pointed out that he is certain that he will face jail time: “I paid for my channels. I did things the old school way. I used capture cards. I take full responsibility so anybody on my team and shit, I pretty much hope you guys don’t ever go to jail now”.

The video has even more shocking revelations and even a mention of someone being a confidential informant, most probably a member of his team. And while all those details are all public domain by his own intent, I really think I shouldn’t dive into it more. After all these are really serious accusations and whatever happened no life should be ruined. He unfortunately added something very dark which I really hope was a thing of a moment: “I’m gonna go on live….and i’m going to kill myself. I’m gonna go on live, express how I feel and then shoot myself on live.”

In conclusion, seems like this is more a money laundering / tax evasion case than a copyright issue. OMI has also some hosting business for gaming like servers for Grand Theft Auto and Minecraft. And with such a luxurious lifestyle, if you never paid taxes it is certain that you will get trouble from the IRS. I hope everything resolves for all people involved in the best and safest way and of course good luck to OMI himself. But if I may, I would also recommend to him to consult a lawyer and keep matters to himself. It doesn’t worth the views…

Some of the most popular Kodi repositories have been taken down after reportedly receiving a Cease and Desist letter from ACE.

Not a happy Valentine’s for a lot of people this year as some of the most popular Kodi related sources were reportedly hit with cease and desist letters today from Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE), an anti-piracy partnership between Hollywood studios, Netflix, Amazon, and more than two dozen other companies. These letters were identical to those received by the Colossus, Dandy Media, Mucky Ducky, and other repositories back in November 2017.

The cease and desist letter alleges that the defendant receiving the letter is encouraging copyright infringement through the addons. The letter does not appear to be a signed legal document. There is no signature from a lawyer and no law firm is listed on the letter. It simply asks to “stop” or be faced with further punishment.

In the specifics, this is what we know as of right now:

Noobs and Nerds Repository

At least one member of the Noobs and Nerds repository received letters today and the official NoobsandNerds.com website leads to a suspended account message. Their Twitter account has been deleted as well. Lastly, the NaN repo has been pulled offline.

OpenELEQ, posted the following on Reddit:

You probably all seen it allready: Nan-site is offline as is their twitter. It does not look like it will be comming back either and I have also emptied out my repo’s of all content that could be considered copyright-infringing.

I will be keeping my git-account alive though simply to avoid it being high-jacked, nothing else. Also, if you see claims in the future that I or Nan endorses TVA (similar to what happened to Xunity), do not believe it as that will never ever happen!

For anyone still choosing to associate with TVA: watch your back and the best of luck, you are going to need it. Sure, there are some good people amongst them but imo, Adam/Eleazar is by far the most arrogant, devious and generally the worst person I have ever come across.

To end on a positive note, I would like to take this chance to say that Nan and totalxbmc before that have without a doubt been the nicest and most helpfull group I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with and being a part of. I have frequented a lot of kodi related forums (tvaddons.ag/co/nl, xunity, openelec to name just a few) but nowhere have I felt more welcome, appreciated and, well, simply at home then at nan.

ZT Team – Pyramid

Although the Zero Tolerance Team Repository seems that isn’t going anywhere, the repo and wizard are currently offline. Also, from the same repository it is certain that the Pyramid addon and the Tombraider builds are now history. Pyramid / Tombraider decided that is not worth the risk and retired from the KODI 3rd party developing scene.

Teverz Repo

Teverz which is also a Youtube content creator, has his own wizard for Kodi. He received a letter and talked to the referee on the phone via the number supplied. So far, Teverz in a video that he released said that he is keeping everything online, calling the letter nothing but a “scare tactic” without any  sort of legal weight.

Looking Glass Repo

The Looking Glass Repository is also offline and their server gives a message that the account is suspended. Though we do not have an official statement from the group, it seems that they also left the scene.

Doggmatic

Doggmatic is also a Youtuber and a build maker. Like Teverz he released a video saying that the letter he received has no legal authority and that he is not going anywhere. He is not a member of the Illuminati Team Repo as it was reported by some media and KODI related blogs.

SpinzTV Repository

SpinzTV, one of the most popular Kodi builds/wizard (also hosted the Strictly HD and Spinz Cartoon Crazy addons) seems that also received a cease and desist letter from ACE. His KODI builds and whole repository are offline and he has stated that he is finished with Kodi for now:

Reports that also Mr Blamo received the same cease and desist letter appear to be false. The repository has changed server and in order to update the repo you need to download the latest version: blamo repository (v0.0.6).

In the community there is also a rumor that supposedly TVAddons is behind these attacks. This also seems to be false, in fact most of the people that received the ACE cease and desist letters do not believe that it has nothing to do with TV Addons. TVA in their website reported the news about the NoobsAndNerds c&d letter and even if from the article one can easily understand that there is not a lot of love in their relatioship, they also added their support to the NAN group.

Although certain members of NaN would from time to time attack our community, we never spoke ill of them. In the spirit of open source, we only wishes them the best. We understand what it’s like to fall victim to copyright bullies and hope they get out of it without losing their shirts.
